Vortix Realtime Bridge

Bridge solutions have become a very high importance in industrial data transmission, because more and more technical systems are networked. To realize this networking simply and without the laying of cables, the Vortix Realtime radio bridge was realized. For a stable connection, the radio frequency 169 MHz was chosen for the transmission, which is not impaired by competing radio services such as W-LAN or DECT, because of it's wavelength very good propagation properties in buildings, but also on factory premises and thus transmission distances between 500 (difficult conditions) and 5,000 meters (free field) can realize.

The devices are available in various variants.

The serial connection to a system or a telecontrol device is the wish of many users and maintenance technicians. It provides the security against unauthorized access that IP-based systems often miss. The Vortix Serial Data Bridge establishes a serial connection through the LTE network and replaces a serial cable, a connection via an ISDN modem or a connection via the CSD (circuit switched data).
The Vortix Serial Data Bridge can be used as a virtual serial cable, but also as a modem that establishes a data connection using the modem-typical dialing procedure.

With two LAN to RF169 MHz modules you can establish a LAN connection over 169 MHz wireless technology.
Two RS232 to RF169 MHz modules enable radio transmission for serial interfaces.
You can transport serial data with two LAN to RS232 bridge modules via LAN.

Even an adapter function from "serial to LAN" can be realized simultaneously by combining a LAN to RF169 MHz module with a RS232 to RF169 MHz module .
All modules with radio technology use the ISM frequency 169 MHz (ISM: industry scientific, medical). This allows them to ensure a high data rate and does not compete with W-LAN and DECT in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands respectively. In addition, it is advantageous that the transmission at 169 MHz also has a very good propagation within buildings with low signal attenuation.
